#MusicMonday Week 6

As usual #MusicMonday this week is a mish mash of lots of different tracks, some new to me and some oldies.

In my Spotify playlist you'll find a new Lana Del Rey track, 'Once Upon A Dream', which is taken from the soundtrack to the upcoming Disney release, Maleficent. With Angelina Jolie in the title role, the film focuses on the infamous villain from Sleeping Beauty. Lana's reworking of the Disney song featured in the original film, is as haunting as you would expect.

I've included Bombay Bicycle Club's 'Luna' because its great. I've listened to a lot of Radio 1 in the car lately, and they play it pretty darn frequently.

One of my favourite 'new to me' artists, this week, is Max Marshall. I love this girl's voice and the whole vibe of her music. Check her out in my Soundcloud playlist. Apart from her incredible original tracks, a particular highlight is her mash up of Naughty Boy's 'La La La' and Amerie's '1 Thing', called 'LaLa Life'.

Further to my Banks obsession of 2014, I noticed a Peter Gabriel cover on her Soundcloud that I hadn't heard yet, which was a lovely surprise.

Another 'new to me' artist this week is Tchami. I'm probably very late in the game on checking him out but I really love 'Promesses'.This song just makes me want to party so bad, and I love Kaleem Taylor's vocals.

The latest Cyril Hahn offering, a collaboration with Javeon called 'Breaking', is included in my Soundcloud playlist because everyone loves a bit of the Hahn!

I've featured a playlist by Giraffage which is his remixes of The-Dream's 2007 album, Love Hate. I'm a sucker for RnB or hip hop samples and remixes, and this doesn't disappoint.

I'm also still all over Beyoncé's self titled visual album because it's so empowering to listen to. She makes me feel like a boss! Plus there are a lot of interesting points made in her lyrics about gender equality. I've not included it in the playlists because I have already featured it in #MusicMonday Week 4.
